Every House Has A Story

The Coeur du Bayou Trilogy is the story of a house and the people that live there. I love houses: old, new, big or small. If a house catches my eye, I begin to wonder who lives there and what kind of stories would it tell? I believe homes hold memories, good and bad, just like people do.
Have you ever noticed how many stories/movies begin with a family or characters moving into a new home? A new start, and the excitement of the unknown leads to endless possibilities.
I have another story that I began writing about the same time as the Trilogy. A house that I pass often inspired me to write the story, but I have yet to finish it. One day I’ll get back to it. It’s there and every time I pass the house I am reminded of the characters that are waiting for me.
